prelim task

Own analysis on our preliminary task

Requirements of task
  • 180 degree rule
  • match on action shot
  • shot reverse shot
  • over the shoulder shot
I will talk about these skills in a later post.

Our production included all of these requirements using good quality examples. I believe our final product was a good reflection on all the camera and editing skills we have learnt in the past four weeks.
I wouldn't say this task went very smoothly as we didn't plan every thing ahead, this might be something i would change if i done this task agin. However there we were organized, as we all knew what we were doing and what we needed to do. What we organized didn't always go to plan, for example one of my two group members was absent for the last two weeks which was a very important time. also we had a few technical difficulties when were editing, some of these were beyond are control meaning we had to change computers, but some were due to us renaming them after capturing them this meant that when we changed computers some of the shots werent saved or named. Next time i import film on too final cut pro i will make sure i name it at the right time as this will give me more time to edit.
